Cambodian Black Pepper Beef Stir-Fry
Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) beef (flank steak or sirloin), thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons Ratanakiri Cambodian black pepper
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil (or any cooking oil)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced (any color)
- 2 cups broccoli florets (or your favorite vegetables)
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro or basil leaves (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine the thinly sliced beef, half of the black pepper, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and lime juice. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Heat the Oil: In a large wok or skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the minced garlic and sliced onion, stirring until fragrant and the onion is translucent.
- Cook the Beef: Add the marinated beef to the wok, cooking until it is browned and cooked through. This should take about 3-5 minutes.
- Add Vegetables: Toss in the bell pepper and broccoli florets. Stir-fry everything together for an additional 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
- Season: Sprinkle the remaining black pepper over the stir-fry. Adjust seasoning with salt and additional soy sauce if needed.
- Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with fresh cilantro or basil leaves, and serve immediately over steamed rice or noodles.
